The process for transitioning the design certified GS-CER projects to GS-VER stream has been simplified, however, the transitioning project/PoA/CPAs must demonstrate eligibility in accordance to the requirements provided in GHG Product Requirements, including but not restricted to – adjusting the crediting period and demonstrating compliance with the eligibility requirements if the CDM crediting period start date is before 01/01/2016. i.e. demonstrate that: 

  1. that project faces a serious risk of discontinuation without carbon revenue, and 
  2. how the project has been operational in the absence of carbon revenue, if carbon credits have not been issued to the project in recent years
